VACATION WATCH

The Elburn Police Department is not responsible for any theft, loss or damage sustained to the real property in or around any residence while the occupants are away.  Vacation watches are done by our officers as a courtesy and as time and manpower permits.  Because our activity levels vary greatly, we may not check the residence every day.  Vacation watches should be no longer than six (6) weeks long and are usually not done for houses that are vacant and for sale.

If you plan to return home early, please call or email the Elburn Police Department ahead of time during business hours (M-F 7am-3:30pm) to let us know (We dont want to mistake you for an intruder).  Note in the COMMENTS area the names and vehicle descriptions of anyone that may visit the house to care for plants and animals and the time frames in which they will be there.  We recommend having trusted neighbors watch your house as well and call police for any suspicious activity while you are away.

If this is an emergency, please call 911
