Parking on Village of Hampshire streets is prohibited between the hours of 1:00 A.M. and 6:00 A.M. November 1 to April 1 of each year (per Village ordinance 2-6-1-O) - Violators will be ticketed.  If you need to park a vehicle overnight, you must contact the Hampshire Police Department by phone at (847) 683-2240 or submit your request using the Frontline Public Safety Solutions online system. Making a request by phone or using the Frontline Public Safety Solutions online system does not constitute express permission to park in violation of the Village of Hampshire Ordinance. Exceptions may be granted on a case-by-case basis. 

Vacation watch requests are available only when a residence is unoccupied for at least three consecutive days. If someone is staying at the premises, a watch will not be granted. Homes for sale, apartment units, and condominiums are not eligible for this service. Residents may request up to 28 days of vacation watch coverage per calendar year, with a maximum of 14 days per request. Any single request longer than 14 days will be denied. Neither the Village of Hampshire nor the Hampshire Police Department assumes any liability in the event of theft, loss, or damage to personal or real property in or around your residence. 

Submitting a vacation watch request does not remove your responsibility to secure your home and make every attempt to protect your property while you are away. Officers will check your property as time and call volume allow, but we cannot guarantee daily checks.

The Pet Management portal is to help the Hampshire Police Department reunite lost or found pets with their owners.  Include detailed identifying information and a photo of your pet. Microchipping your dog aids in recovery. The portal is not monitored in real time, so report missing or stray dogs directly to Hampshire Police 847-683-2240 or call 911.
