Before proceeding, you should be aware that reporting a crime by telephone or through an online portal is designed to make filing a police report easier and more convenient. However, it is a crime to make false statements or misuse electronic communication. Violators will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Please note that although your report request is submitted directly to HPD's online reporting system, an officer will call you to confirm the information you provided before the police report is completed.
Although online report requests may be submitted at any time, submitted requests will be addressed by police personnel Monday through Friday between the hours of 6:30 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. (excluding State holidays). Report requests are generally handled in the order they are received. Please allow up to two business days for your request to be processed. If immediate assistance is needed, please call 911.
If your case does not meet the criteria listed below, please call 911.
If your case and/or incident occurred in another state, please notify that state’s local authority to document the incident.
If your case and/or incident occurred on another island within the state, besides the island of Oahu, please notify that counties local authority to document the incident.
This online reporting system is only to be used to report a set of limited criminal incidents with very specific criteria listed below:
-Add Inventory List of Stolen Property (for existing UEMV and/or Burglary cases; include HPD report number in the narrative)
-Minor Assaults (No visible injuries, No weapons used)
-Catalytic Converter Theft
-Credit Card Falsely Issued
-Criminal Property Damage (excluding Motor vehicle collision damage)
-Follow-up Report - Add Information to existing report (include Report number in the narrative)
-Fraud Cases (Computer Fraud, Scam, False Employment Claims, etc.)
-FUCC - Fraudulent Use of Credit Card
-Harassment (excluding Kidnapping / Stranger Danger/ Abductions)
-ID Theft
-Lost Property
-Miscellaneous Damages - Accidental (excluding Motor vehicle collision damage)
-Miscellaneous Public Report (Documentation only)
-Theft (Does NOT include Vehicle / Auto Theft/ Theft of items within a vehicle)
