  • Vacation Watches have a 30 day maximum that they will be checked on.

  • Condition Report submissions are for Village maintained porperty only.

    • For problems with railroad crossing signals and traffic signals, please call Tri-Com Central Dispatch at 630-377-0911 to have a police officer respond to verify the problem.  Railroad crossing and traffic signal problems can have potentially involve dangerous situations requiring an immediate response by a police officer to avoid or limit the hazardour condition created by the malfunction until the appropriate maintenance company arrives to resolve the problem.

    • Street lights on wooden poles are usually maintained by ComEd.  You may report those directly to ComEd on their Report a Street Light Outage website.

    • State routes such as Illinois route 31 and 25 and their street lights/signs are maintained by the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT).

    • County routes and their street lights/signs are maintained by Kane County Department of Transportation (KDOT) or you may call 630-584-1170.  KDOT routes in the village are:

      • McLean Blvd - Spring St and north.  South of the intersection to Illinois Route 31 is maintained by IDOT currently.

      • Randall Road

      • Silver Glen Rd

      • Stearns Rd

    • McDonald Rd is maintained by the Elgin Township Road District.

    • S. Gilbert St south of the Village limits is maintained by the St. Charles Township Highway Department.
