Participation in this program does not constitute a guarantee or contractual obligation that officers will check your property on a daily basis, at any specific interval, or with any particular frequency. The Topsham Police Department does not assume any liability or responsibility for safeguarding your property, preventing theft, vandalism, damage, or any other criminal activity, or for any losses that may occur during your absence. Officers will make reasonable attempts to visually check your property when their patrol duties and availability permit. However, these checks are subject to operational priorities, staffing levels, emergency calls, and other demands on department resources, and no specific number of checks or level of protection is promised or implied. By requesting Property Watch service, participants acknowledge and agree to these limitations.
