This portal is intended for citizens to express a compliment or complaint about a City of Milwaukee, Department of Emergency Communications (DEC) employee. 

If you believe a member of the DEC has acted improperly, violated federal or state law, an ordinance of the City of Milwaukee or Department of Emergency Communications policy, you may file a formal complaint via this public portal.  No member of the DEC will attempt to interfere or influence your right to complain about the service this department provides to you.  Your complaint will be thoroughly and impartially investigated.  If you wish to express gratitude or satisfaction via an official compliment, the DEC thanks you for recognizing our personnel and will pass the information along to the involved employee/s as well as our merit award committee for their consideration of an official award. 

Please note that the DEC is only able to investigate complaints or accept compliments about it's own personnel, including 911 and non-emergency operators, dispatchers, supervisors and administrative personnel. 

If you wish to express a compliment or dissatisfaction with a member of the Milwaukee Police Department (MPD) or the Milwaukee Fire Department (MFD), you should refer to their respective websites on how to file a formal compliment or complaint, or visit the City of Milwaukee's Fire and Police Commission website to submit there.
